An Overview of Microsoft Office 2007
The new Microsoft Office 2007 is available in eight editions designed to meet the needs of every computer user:
Home Users – The Microsoft Office 2007 Basic, Home & Student and Standard editions offer the new and improved versions of Word and Excel which allow you to create professional documents and charts more intuitively and in less time. Outlook 2007 is included in the Basic and Standard Office editions whereas the Home & Student edition comes with OneNote, a digital notebook application.
Small and Medium Businesses – The Small Business and Professional editions of Office 2007 include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook with Business Contact Manager. In addition, both editions include Publisher while Office Professional 2007 includes Access.
Large Businesses and Enterprises – The Professional Plus and Enterprise editions, available through the Microsoft Open License Program, include all programs mentioned above and add applications specific to the needs of large businesses. For the first time, Office 2007 comes in an Ultimate edition containing all applications included in the various other editions.
