On-Site Install - Windows Peer to Peer Network

Service Details
A service certificate is issued to the Customer that provides for a service consultant to install Network Interface Cards (NIC's) into a maximum TWO* computers and connect both computers to each other either directly or through a hub. The consultant will then configure the windows software ( win98 or later ) on each PC so that they can see each other and so that they can share files and resources between each other. The consultant will verify that each computer can open a file on the other computer across the network, and that both can print to the shared printer(s) on the network.

Customer is to ensure that a responsible person over the age of 18 will be in attendance on-site whilst the service is performed.

Important Note: * Additional PC's may incur additional time based charges. Due to the nature of networking, there may be difficulties encountered depending on what hardware or software is installed in the computers being networked. In the event of hardware or software conflicts extra time may be required for troubleshooting. The time allocated for the provision of the above services is 1.5 Hr. However, if further assistance is required then the Customer may purchase certificates for additional hours from Harris Technology or as per the Terms and Conditions printed on the certificate.

Orientation & Personal Assistance
Once the installation has been completed, and subject to time availability, the consultant will demonstrate the fundamentals of using the network, and can setup any security options the Customer may require, as well as sharing the internet connection.

Warning: Harris Technology is not responsible for any loss of Customer data. Customers should be aware that repair, maintenance, configuration and installation processes may damage data stored on their computer. Harris Technology therefore strongly recommends that Customers create back up copies on external storage media of any important data stored on their computer on storage before any work commences. Harris Technology does not guarantee the security of any data stored on a Customers computer at the time of service. It is a condition of the provision of the services that the Customer forever release Harris Technology from any claim or related liability arising from any loss of data stored on their computer
