On-Site Install - Data Transfer

Service Details
A service certificate is issued to the Customer that provides for a service consultant to carry out an audit of all the data on the Customers old PC and, dependent on the amount of data to be transferred, carry out the transfer in the most time efficient and secure manner. If the Customer has purchased equipment from Harris technology for the purposes of moving or storing data, the consultant will install the equipment and ensure correct operation. This service is time based, and an assessment of time and any ensuing over-time costs will be provided after the data audit has been carried out. Once the data has been transferred and subject to time availability, the consultant will advise the Customer in effective data management techniques and protection concepts, including correct backup practices. Customer is to ensure that a responsible person over the age of 18 will be in attendance on-site whilst the service is performed.

The time allocated for the provision of the above services is 1Hr. However, if further assistance is required then the Customer may purchase certificates for additional hours from Harris Technology or as per the Terms and Conditions printed on the certificate.

You should be aware that repair, maintenance, configuration and installation processes may damage data stored on your computer. Harris Technology therefore strongly recommends that you create back up copies on external storage media of any important data stored on your computer on storage media other than in this computer before any work commences.

Harris Technology does not guarantee the security of any data stored on your computer at the time of the service being performed. It is a condition of the provision of the services that you forever release Harris Technology or it's contractors from any claim or related liability arising from any loss of data stored on your computer
